World Cinema Is A Wonderful Short Film By Cohen Brothers

| Film and animation | June 15, 2012

world cinema short film by the cohen brothers

This wonderful short film called ‘World Cinema’ by The Cohen Brothers was made for a 2007 French anthology called Chacun son cinéma (To Each His Own Cinema) which brought together 36 acclaimed directors including; Lars von Trier, Jane Campion, Gus Van Sant and Abbas Kiarostamito to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Cannes Film Festival.

For some reason the film was never included in the anthology nor did it appear on a later DVD release. But lucky for you its now on YouTube so why not watch it. You will of course recognise Josh Brolin who looks like hes stepped off the set of ‘No Country for Old Men’. What makes the film work is the conversation about world cinema in the middle of a desert.
