I really admire these animal sculptures. They’re made from welding hundreds of tiny used watch parts together. However I’m not sure if they can be defined as fine craft work or fine art work. Perhaps they’re both. They’re from a series called Time to be Included and according to a Japanese blogger they’re made by a Japanese sculptor called Natsumi Honda.

Have you any thoughts on the matter? It’s not that I think one form is worth less than the other but they seem to me to be more about the art of making rather than any artistic statement or conceptual idea
