Description
This innovative storyteller is taking the art of live-performance storytelling in new directions. I produce live performances and also facilitate workshops or “playshops” featuring storytelling games.
Having studied at the European Film College and Screenwriters Copenhagen, I bring a good grasp of dramaturgy to putting on live performances where the audience feels gripped from start to finish.
I often perform in collaboration with a cellist or a guitarist who create improvised electronic soundscapes to suit the mood of each story.
My repertoire includes Irish mythology, shamanic tales from Greenland and Siberia, the Tibetan saga Gesar of Ling, new adaptations of folktales, tales of misadventure and more besides.
Tá Gaeilge agam. Although I am familiar with the traditional arts, I take an innovative interpretation of tradition as a rich body of knowledge that is available as an inspiration for the creation of new works of art.
