Description
I have been dancing since age six but really started to get serious after a really successful experience at an arts festival. Shortly after that I enrolled in a Dance program at my local Arts School and studied for two years. Since graduating I have had a few opportunities to perform and create work as an independent choreographer. Two of my favorite original works are Thrashing on Cement in Leather and Libertaria. The first piece was a duet adapted to be performed in a basement nightclub with a cement dance floor hence the title. The performance combined very physical throw yourself at the floor movement with more subtle salsa style partnering and incorporated mixed media. Libertaria was a piece for six dancers that explored the theme of female power. I chose to incorporate the beautiful movement of traditional Japanese weapons Nunchaku into the dance to represent strength. As a dancer I have trained primarily in Contemporary and Modern technique with lots of contact improvisation experience. I have a good basis of Hip Hop, Jazz, and have some theatre experience. I really enjoy collaborating with different types of artists and my larger artistic vision is often a mixed media project. I would love to volunteer my skills in exchange for the opportunity to make dances.

Hi there,
Just had a look at your file on here and wanted to contact you. I am developing a small three minute silent short film project to be shot around Dublin city in the next few months. It requires mime and movement much like the old silent move actors. There will be an elaborate costume to wear and the part requires a fearless approach to performing in costume in the middle of Dublin city. This will be the first of three shorts developed over the next nine months so the artist that gets this part will be the lead in all three short films so a commitment to al three projects is required.
I will be holding auditions in a few weeks and if you wold be interested to meet up with us do contact me.
All the best.
Regards
Keith Gaskin
