   welcome to mutantspace, thanks for joining our co-operative and I hope you get lots out of our co-op and get the opportunity to give loads too.

   If you ever feel like contributing to our blog please do – it might be a film you’ve made, videos you like, film makers who influenced you, advice, reviews, criticism, things you’ve seen, like, a profile of yourself, your work, ideas, anything at all – this blog is for the use of everyone. Just send me text and photos you want to use and ill have it up as soon as i can. Im always looking for members to contribute.

   At the moment we have over 8,000 readers in 70+ countries so your work will get out there

   Our last bi-annual festival, the trash culture revue, was in November and youre very welcome to get involved in the next one which will be around next May (details soon) including a short film competition

   Please spread the word about mutantspace too as this site is run on zero and the more of us on board the more we can do to help each other.

   On the subject of this film competition you’ve been commenting on – could you write up a small piece about it and send it in to me and ill put it up as a post and you might get better results

     Film competition
     Title: Your Film Festival

     Brief description: Like most other people I see plenty of adverts for online film competitions. These are usually small to middle level competitions that boast a nice first prize and some interesting runner up stuff. “Your Film Festival” seems to be a level above this. 15 minutes to tell a story, the top ten finalists get to go to the 2012 Venice film festival, where they will open the festival. The winner will get 500,000 dollars and Ridley Scott as their producer on their next project. The deadline for the entries to the competition is March 31st so that gives people just over two months. I think that this film competition is just too good to pass up and I am looking for anyone who would be interested in doing something for this project.
