Sannah Kvist’s All I Own Photo Series Shows Up Some Home Truths
Sannah Kvist‘s ‘All I own’ photo series is pretty direct. She asked all her friends and acquaintances, who were born in the 80s, to stack their possessions in the corner of their room, arranged their stuff and photographed them. What she ended up with was a portrait of a generation brought up in Sweden.
It is a document of the consumerist culture we live in but what is striking about the pictures is that none of the subjects have that much stuff, well I don’t think so anyway. What would be interesting is to see another generation’s materials photographed in the same way or the same generation photographed in 10 years time.
