Ryan Pickart’s portrait paintings having been travelling around the internet at a blistering pace, probably because everyone that sees them is immediately reminded of the wonderful Klimt portraits that have entranced generations of art lovers. It seems the muse has been reinstated in art. For Ryan his concept is simple, to ‘bridge the gap between abstract and realism’ and he does this in the most simplest of ways.
