About Opsound.org: Free Love, Free Music
Opsound is a gift economy in action, an experiment in applying the model of free software to music. Musicians and sound artists are invited to add their work to the Opsound pool using a copyleft license developed by Creative Commons. Listeners are invited to download, share, remix, and reimagine.
Opsound gives credit to the free and open source software communities for the amazing work and generosity that makes projects like this possible. Particularly Lucas Gonze and webjay for the terrific ‘play this page’ open API which runs the podcasts and Gordon Luk for freetag which runs the tagging system.
