Olivier Seignette’s photographs are wonderful evocations of nature, of a timeless summer, of moments before the sun dips below the horizon and leaves us in a world between light and dark.
It takes a sensitive soul to be able to capture a fragment of a dream, a sense of the other, a picture that is inpregnated with beautiful memories that live long in the soul. And through Seignette’s lens we are given the chance to glimpse at the everyday in a new way, he opens up the wonder of life in a natural light, the love that comes from small things, family, space, nature, the world at large. he asks us to contemplate our existence, to take stock, to forget the senseless rush for materiality and embrace the freedom that is ours to grasp.
Seignette’s work is done in a series of portfolios that he likens to stories. What I have shown you here is a collection. If you like these pictures then I suggest you have a look at his work in its entirety.
