A Sensational Video Mapping Project By The Moment Factory
Canadian company Moment factory created this incredible video mapping project called ‘Duality’ for a 4th July celebration in Atlantic City. Video mapping seems to be a growing technology and, like AntiVJ who I’ve posted about previously, their work is mind blowing.
The show is a tribute to the bulding they projected on, a celebration of it’s history. Over the course of 8 ½ minutes, every half hour after sunset, the façade of the building comes to life in a sensational way with 3D animated projections of stones moving, arches crumbling and the whole structure disappearing into a fusion of light and sound.
If you’re interested in the technical aspect of the installation it required 12 20,000 lumen video projectors, 65 RGB luminar standing lights, 14 surround sound speakers and five low-frequency sub-woofers all designed to withstand seaside elements. The show is permanent so if you’re ever in Atlantic City you know where to go. The boardwalk.
