Michael Johansson is obsessed with perfection, a Tetris nerd of some kind, his sculptures a weird take on Scandinavian flat packs. He has spent his artistic life de-constructing common objects, removing their context and functionality and reconstructing them in a separate organisational model.
Here’s what he has to say about his work:

As a child I was fascinated building models. I remember breaking off the pieces from the surrounding plastic sticks that were leftover from the casting process and subsequently gluing the pieces back together in the right order by following the instruction manual.

They’re alot of fun and look painstakingly tedious to make with each piece perfectly cast and put together. He’s the kind of guy you’d love to have around on a Saturday afternoon to clean up the house and sort your mess out. But only for a few hours. I think I’d kill him if I had to live with his organisational obsessions.
