Melinda Tidwell‘s collages and mixed media paintings are a fresh addition to the artwork on this blog. Her use of books, glue, found images, paper, glue and paint is clever and precise – a careful reorganization of material that creates its own language.

Her work is most definitely an outcome of her studies in mathematics and her career in computer graphics – an ideal mix of the mathematical and the visual. This lifelong interest in both abstract and visual languages has led her to find her artistic voice. And what a voice it is too.
