Luke Ramsey’s Illustrations Are Zen Like Drawings
Luke Ramsey‘s illustrations are truly unique and wonderfully patterned. The work is almost like a weird Zen meditation project as he builds his simple images up with complex squiggles and lines. It’s all so meticulous, perfect, time consuming.
The subjects of his entrancing drawings are often humorous and melancholic, solitary figures caught in a moment of introspection. On top of his own work Ramsey has co-founded an independent publishing company and artist residency on an island in Canada. A pretty big achievement. Creating spaces for other artists is a supreme sacrifice and a thankless task.
