Jennifer Abessira’s Photo Montages Are Fresh And Immediate

Jennifer Abessira‘s ‘Elastique’ photo series is really fresh, immediate and full of emotional juxtapositions, small fragments of her life put together with found images, tenuous connections made through form, colour and feeling. There’s nothing particularly technical about her work – most of the images are taken on a mobile or simple digital camera – however she does have an eye for the visual, for creating a narrative about herself, her world, her memory, her life in Tel – Aviv. As she says herself she endeavours to make a ‘universal peace between images’.
