Jack Felgate’s Illustrations Are Rude And Scathing
Jack Felgate‘s illustrations aren’t exactly your run of the mill pretty, nice, well rendered drawings for a kids book. No. Rather they’re rude, scathing, hilarious, crude statements of a man who has a biting sense of humour and sees the dark side of just about everything.
I love them and they’re the perfect thing to read, look at, first thing in the morning. They make you realise that there are other people out in the world who don’t tow the line when it comes to image making. What struck me when looking at his work is that his sense of humour really is particular to these islands – meaning the British isles and Ireland – if only because of its pub induced observations. I suggest you look at his other work and pass it on. Make someone you know laugh out loud.
