Heidi Andreasen‘s collages are primarily inspired by the Dadaists and early 20th Century science fiction. Unike many collage artists she’s not simply content to use found images as a jumping off point for her work rather she takes the novels of sci-fi heavy weights such as H.G. Wells and the application of glitch – which is becoming a common artistic process – to create her photo montages.
Her glitch series particularly interests me as it was an experiment in possibility; using only a scanner and the movement of images across it with her hand to create the work.
