Gonçalo Viana‘s illustrations are clever and truly beautiful; full of colour, texture, surreal characters all made up of geometric shapes and patterns. His conceptual style probably comes out of his background as an architect which he studied in Lisbon before moving to London to work in a practice. By all accounts it didn’t last to long and he quit to follow his passion.
I always admire those who follow their passion and to make a success out of it puts a sweet taste in my mouth.
