Ériver Hijano‘s photographs are a collection of beautiful pictures that are both technically accomplished and wonderfully framed. As you can see from the small selection here they’re of the everyday; his friends, the beach, hanging out. However, what separates Hijano from your average snapper is use of light. It’s all about light. Look at the subject matter, look at how Hijano heightens your awareness of the person in the frame, of what’s going on, the action. It’s all subtle, understated and that is his mark. You see without noticing. Learn without knowing.
Have a look at the rest of his work. There’s not a huge amount of it. He’s still a young man but it’s worth seeing.
