Photographer Eric Valli has made a photo documentary called ‘Off the Grid’, a series about Americans who have left mainstream society in order to live closer to nature. As he said himself;

There are growing number of people who have decided to live light on the earth to not be a part of problem anymore. I spent the last few years with four of them striving for harmony with nature in the most pristine corners of United States.

I’d love to find out more about the different groups – especially the hunter – gatherer types. The photographs are so compelling and desperately in need of a story. Infact, the more I look at them the more I’m intrigued – what are they up to? What is their background? Are they still out there? Where did they learn their skills? Truly fascinating.
