Do Ho Suh’s ‘Fallen Star’ installation is finally open at UCSD – The University Of San Diego. The project took seven years to complete and cost in the region of $1.3 million. Extraordinary price for a dangerous house. As for Suh himself his art installations are always a delight and I’m always eager to see more of his artwork.

This latest piece – that features a home that appears to have crash landed on a building – is a fitting addition to Suh’s on-going exploration of themes around the idea of “home, cultural displacement, the perception of our surroundings, and how one constructs a memory of a space.”

Fancy living in it?
