Dimitris Polychroniadis Athens Voice

Satirical Greek Art About Elections And Protests

Dimitris Polychroniadis created this artwork for a recent cover of ‘Athens Voice’, a free press weekly magazine, that was published last Thursday in the lead up to Greek general election which is being held this coming Sunday. Polychroniadis said about the work that it represents the country’s idyllic summer disturbed by a protest.

Sunday will be a pivotal moment for the Greek people, how they vote will have an impact on all of us.  Let us all hope – no matter who wins the election – that the spectre of Fascism as seen in the party ‘Golden Dawn’ is crushed into the ground.
