Daehyun Kim AKA Moonassi, is an incredible South Korean Illustrator who studied traditional Korean painting and since then has re-interpreted the artform to create new contemporary designs.

His pen and marker drawings are strange, have a minimalist aesthetic that are able to convey the fragility and complex experience of human relationships. Most of Kims images feature two near identical figures that are engaged in some form of action with each other.
They are compelling images, tender and beautiful and remind me of Beardsleys illustrations which isn’t such a longshot as Beardsley was greatly influenced by 19th Century traditional eastern prints.
